Expenses: Up to £100 maximum per week (Depending on individual circumstances & provided receipts)
Qualification: An accredited Level 2 Qualification

Placement Description: Local Authority - Curriculum & Training Centre
Commitment: Flexible volunteering of up to 30 hrs per week / Participation on a Duke of Edinburgh Residential project
Age: 16 - 24 only
Eligibility:
- All applicants must live in the Richmond Borough
- Expenses will only be provided on production of valid receipts
- All volunteers are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau Check
Volunteer Placement Duties:
- Answering telephones, taking messages including booking rooms & facilities & assisting centre users with information & support
- General administration tasks, including word-processing & photocopying
- Assisting the Centre Technicians in setting up technical equipment including laptops, projects to be used in rooms at the Centre
- Assisting in providing refreshments to conference delegates, setting up rooms & general tasks support the services offered by the Centre
- Using Outlook to communicate with colleagues & staff
- Assisting in mounting artwork displays
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people directly and on the telephone
- Able to understand and respect the importance of confidentiality within and outside the workplace
- Able to work within a team, asking for and giving support as needed
- Accurate basic keyboard skills – knowledge of MS Word and Excel, and database is desirable, or willingness to be trained
- Aware of equality and diversity and health and safety
- Prepared to travel within the local area (travel expenses covered)
- Good timekeeping
